For the price bracket. I thought they were great value.
Loved these hiking poles - I don't do any tramping without them now. I no longer get any knee pain after steep downhill sections tramping and I can retain a comfortable speed when walking up rivers, due to its added balance.
I rainbow-ifed my poles with duct tape to give them some extra colourful flair - highly recommend, it makes people smile when they walk past you tramping :))
My friend did the TA and raved about her poles. I used to think they were for grannies but within a few hours of getting my own I was instantly converted to the other side.
As someone who doesn't have the best balance these were so great for muddy sections, bumpy downhills, narrow ridgelines or stream crossings. Also took so much weight off my knees whenever I went down hill which was so great (before getting poles I'd be hobbling for days after a steep decent and I'm only 22! )
You can even tie four together to make a "quad-pod" for any self timer pics, truly endless possibilities.
Highly highly recommend
I haven't used them yet, but my wife recently hit the hills and found them to be a huge help! Much to her amusement, she successfully managed to navigate a bog whereas her tramping partner (without poles) did not...
Very well constructed, comfortable to use and light.
