Terms and Conditions
Effective: 17 September 2026
These terms apply when you use the Dwights Outdoors website, buy from us, or join Dwights Members. They do not limit any rights you have under New Zealand consumer law.
Orders and pricing
An order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we accept the order. We may decline or cancel an order before acceptance where an item is unavailable, pricing or product information contains a genuine error, payment is not authorised, or we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse. If payment has been taken for a cancelled order, we will refund it.
Prices are in New Zealand dollars and include GST unless clearly stated otherwise. Shipping and any other applicable charges are shown before purchase. Product prices, Members Prices and availability may change, but a later change will not alter an order already accepted.
Images and descriptions are provided to help identify products. Minor changes in packaging, colour or specification may occur. We will not use this clause to avoid our obligations where a product does not match its description or is not of acceptable quality.
Delivery, shortages and returns
Please check your delivery promptly and contact us as soon as reasonably possible if anything is missing, damaged or incorrect. Keeping packaging and photos can help us investigate with the carrier. A delay in notifying us does not remove rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Delivery estimates are estimates only. We are not responsible for delay caused by events reasonably outside our control, but we will continue to meet our obligations under applicable law.
Our Exchanges and Returns Policy explains change-of-mind returns. Faulty goods remain covered by the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and other applicable law.
Consumer guarantees
If you acquire goods for personal, domestic or household use, nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or Fair Trading Act 1986.
If you acquire goods in trade for business purposes, and it is fair and reasonable for the parties to be bound by this clause, the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 may not apply.
Dwights Members terms
Joining and eligibility
- Membership is free for individuals with a valid Dwights account. There is no joining fee or ongoing membership charge. Creating a new Dwights account joins the club; existing account holders can sign in to use their membership.
- A valid email address is needed to create and securely access your account. You do not need to agree to promotional emails or SMS to join or receive eligible Members Prices.
- Membership is personal and must not be sold, transferred, shared or used for resale or commercial purchasing.
- You are responsible for keeping your account details accurate and secure. We may ask you to verify your identity or account ownership.
- Online, sign in before checkout to receive prices advertised as member-only. In store, give our team the email address linked to your account before payment. If your membership is not identified, the applicable non-member price is payable. Public prices and promotions do not require membership.
Members Prices and benefits
Members can access eligible Members Prices and selected member-only offers, and use the same account online and in store. Benefits apply only to the products, variants, dates and conditions stated with each offer. Membership does not promise a fixed discount on every product.
- A Members Price applies only where a product is clearly marked MEMBERS and while that price is available.
- The standard or non-member price and Members Price shown for a product may change as market conditions, supplier pricing and promotions change.
- Selected products, brands, gift cards, services or promotions may be excluded from a member offer. Important exclusions will be stated with that offer. Prices marked CLEARANCE and offers advertised as available to everyone do not require membership or sign-in.
- Members Prices and other discounts cannot be combined unless we expressly say they can.
- Stock, product and variant availability may differ online and by store. A displayed benefit does not reserve stock.
- Returns and refunds are based on the amount actually paid and remain subject to our Returns Policy and your legal rights.
Marketing choices
Marketing is optional. Joining or signing in does not require consent to promotional emails, and does not by itself give that consent. We send member offers and product updates by email when you opt in or have already given valid consent. You may decline or unsubscribe at any time without closing your account, ending your membership or losing access to eligible Members Prices. Signing in again does not, by itself, renew consent after you have unsubscribed.
Marketing emails identify Dwights Outdoors and include an unsubscribe link. You can also contact us to change your preferences. We may still send non-promotional account, security, order, recall and membership administration messages needed to provide the service or comply with law.
We use account details and relevant purchase information to operate membership, apply eligible prices, assist with orders and protect accounts. Our Privacy Policy explains collection, service providers, overseas processing, retention and your rights to access and correct your information.
SMS marketing requires a separate opt-in. If you opt in, message frequency varies and standard message or data charges from your provider may apply. Follow the opt-out instructions in a message, such as replying STOP where supported, to unsubscribe. For help, contact online@dwights.co.nz.
Changes, suspension and closure
We may change future benefits or these terms for legitimate business, legal or operational reasons. We will give reasonable advance notice of material changes on this page and, where appropriate, directly to affected members, unless an immediate change is reasonably needed for legal or security reasons. Changes do not alter orders already accepted. You may end your membership if you do not wish to continue.
We may suspend or close an account where we reasonably believe there has been fraud, abusive conduct, unauthorised sharing, resale, manipulation of benefits or another serious breach. Where practical, we will explain the reason and provide an opportunity to respond. You may ask us to close your account at any time. Closure does not remove rights relating to purchases already made or information we must retain by law.
Proof of purchase and warranties
Please retain your order confirmation, receipt or other proof of purchase. We may reasonably request proof of purchase for a return or warranty claim, but we will consider other reasonable evidence of purchase where required by law.
