TX Direct Spray-On

The easy to use, safe, high performance spray on waterproofing for wet weather clothing. Adds Durable Water Repellency, revives breathability and maintains internal wicking properties.

 

How Nikwax TX.Direct® Spray-On protects.

 

Nikwax TX.Direct® Spray-On is easy and quick to apply, and its highly Durable Water Repellency (DWR) develops on air drying. The need for tumble drying is removed, this saves energy and protects more vulnerable, older, garments from heat.

Nikwax TX.Direct® Spray-On has been specifically designed and optimised for breathable waterproof garments; it leaves a flexible water repellent treatment on individual fibres allowing moisture vapour to pass through, maintaining breathability.

The spray-on application allows for direct treatment of areas which require it most (e.g. elbows and seams on jackets) and will not compromise the properties of internal wicking liners.

Nikwax takes great care to minimise the effect of Nikwax products on the environment and on you, the consumer. Nikwax waterproofing products are water-based, non-aerosol, non-flammable, non-hazardous and environmentally friendly. They contain no harmful solvents or volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and are completely free of fluorocarbons (which have been shown to be persistent in the environment and have been associated with serious health issues).

Eligible items can be returned within 30 days of purchase, unused with original packaging and labels. There is no handling or restocking fee. Return postage is at your cost; conditions apply.

Brilliant waterproofet

Applied this to two very sad old Gortex jackets.

Instructions where straight forward and easy, I simply washed in the Nikwax detergent and whilst still damp (allowed them to dry a bit so the spray absorbed) then sprayed on the Nikwax TX. One bottle easily covered a man’s jackets and Womens tramping Kathmandu coat both with hoods. I had them hanging on hangers outside on washing line so they dripped a bit onto the lawn. Then allowed the sun to dry them as I don’t have a dryer. I dabbed them with soft cloth where they had excess drips. Results were very satisfying.
