You know what is stressful? Reading 8 million backpack reviews when you just want something to take to work and maybe take on a day out. I found a YT review of this bag and I am glad I did.

I use this backpack as a daily work bag. I walk to the bus, ride the bus, go to work, maybe will stop to get a few things from the store and then head home. I carry in it: gloves, knit hat, small camera, small wallet, sony wireless headphones in hard case, umbrella, powerbank, eyeglasses case, small first aid kit, small microfibre towel, travel size pack of antibacterial wipes, reusable supermarket bag and my lunch. All this fits fine. I would say it is the ideal size for me and I probably could fit a bit more in if needed and I took the time to pack properly, especially a tablet or laptop as there is a sleeve. I can also carry my water bottle in one of the side pouches if needed.

If on a day hike, the contents of the pack would differ but I feel I would have plenty of space.

I find the straps comfortable. I am a 5'2" female and it fits well. The hip straps are not used but they are there. I have not needed the sterum strap yet but again, there is one.

Hope this helps someone else making a decision. Oh, I got the Ultramarine color and it is beautiful.

Very happy with this bag so far. Being used as a daily school bag but will also be good for day walk and travel.

Went looking for a minimalist pack that would handle day hikes (hydration bladder or water bottle, hip and sternum straps, poles, snacks, extra clothes, comfortable), or cycle rides, carry-on for 'plane travel and city touring, including a tablet to keep on top of the photos and emails.

The best I found. Recently tested on a 5 week trip with all of the above. Magic.

A good size bag for carry on luggage. Handy top pocket and side pocket, and a place for a laptop.
