Only used a couple times so far. Good comfy boot.
Hard wearing great on the hill
Amazing very comfortable and not going to break an ankle in these!!
Where to start? I wore these boots for the first time trekking the Pinnacles after a recent storm. All the tracks were washed out with rocks, stones, and branches without a single step of even ground. I found the amount of ankle support to be the best of any boot I've ever worn over 20 years of hiking. Grip, even on wet rocks and clay inclines/declines, was exceptional. This is a true back country/mountaineering boot. River crossings were easy even when the water went above the cuff thanks to the great lacing system that kept the boot snug and water tight. To be sure this is a rigid boot and you wouldn't be doing day-walks on an easy track with them but when you need reliable, rugged, traction-controlled boots then these are the best. If you need to get over an obstacle then all these boots need is a secure spot in the very tip of the boot and they will hold their integrity and your weight without flexing and dumping you back down like a regular boot.
The construction quality is extremely high. This is to be expected of La Sportiva given they are Italian mountaineering boots produced in Italy so the quality control is second to none when other companies outsource manufacturing.
I'll be wearing these for at least a decade to come and likely more.
