Going ultra-light

I'm highly impressed with my MSR Freelite 1. I love my trusty old tent, but it's 1370gm and the new Freelite comes in at 890gm. Same or better floor area and a bigger vestibule. That's a big weight saving. Assembly is fast and easy. Highly impressed.

I got the Rab Ultrasphere 4.5 Sleeping mat (370gm) from Dwights at the same time. Down from 1050gm on my old mat.

We're talking well over 1kg saved here on two items.

Great hiking tent

Great lightweight hiking tent,if encountering quite a bit of rain I’ll pack a small fly ,for over the door,.
