The original New Zealand Made Thermette.

Invented in NZ by John A Hart in 1929!

The Thermette delivers boiling water quickly because the proven design uses a unique cone-shaped internal wall so that heat is distributed to a large surface area surrounded by water, while simultaneously funneling heat up to the top where a pot or frying pan can be used for cooking. All that is required is a good supply of dry twigs and a lighter (a bit of fire accelerant never goes amiss if you are in a hurry or have wet conditions)

Thermette is proudly made in New Zealand

Thermette includes
• 1 x Solid Copper Thermette
• 1 x Cooking ring
• 1 x Galvanised fire ring

Thermette dimensions
• Height – 38cm tall
• Weight – 1.7kg
• Water volume – 2.2 litre

Note: Do not allow to boil dry as this will overheat the unit, resulting in damage to the welds.

Thermette

I have had one for over twenty yrs.My grandfather served in North Africa in WW2 he was in the Maori battalion he said the New Zealand forces were issued them and they became as important as their weapon.

The flames were hidden so could be used he also said one was recovered from German prisoners they used it daily it was called a Benghazi he said.

Perfect for camping

This is a wonderful invention that makes your morning cuppa easy and quick to make. You can also cook some porridge at the same time.
