Solid boots, comfortable, nice roll as you walk. I like the MegaGrip sole, it is top quality grip on wet rocks, slippery roots etc. These boots are insulated so will be hot in summer.
Great!
I was coming from Nike-style boots which are MUCH softer to walk on. These are like walking on wooden boards in comparison. Sounds bad right? But surprisingly, it's not uncomfortable to walk on, I think because they have a natural roll from heel to toe, so their rigidity almost propels you forward naturally. Takes a while to get used to but ultimately they're really nice to wear.
No blisters or hot spots once I got the lacing dialled in to my foot shape (which required skipping one of the lace anchors over the top of my foot).
Boots run quite hot since they have insulation. Not appropriate for hiking on hot days.
