Where I regularly walk the dog, there is a large thicket of tātaramoa (bush lawyer) hanging down over the track. This becomes particularly troublesome whenever it rains, and the foliage all sags further down that usual. I had been trying to deal with it with my regular Swiss Army Knife large blade, and it was useful enough with smaller stems, but I really wanted the Victorinox saw, which I knew to be extremely effective with larger branches.
I decided that the Huntsman offered the best combination of tools, without anything unnecessary, that I would need on my regular bush walks. It has definitely proven itself to be perfect for this type of activity. I also now carry it with me, when I'm out in the garden, as it can easily deal with any stray branch that I might need to give the chop.
I bought this after the one I had for 20 years went missing on a campsite in the spring, it's fantastically crafted and has all the tools you could need, plus fits beautifully in the hand, love it
