I chose this tent for its wind stability, seasonal range, geometry, reasonable price and light weight.
I find single-person tents claustrophobic - this 2-person tent is approximately the same packed size and weight as many single person tents, but provides more space. It also has a very pleasing internal geometry, which improves the overall experience. Wind resistance is a must, as flapping tents absolutely ruin sleep. While tenting in icy conditions, I found the insulation and ventilation adequate. When pitching on rough ground, (being most places in NZ...) I would recommend getting the groundsheet/footprint to increase the lifespan of the tent base.
The tent is easy to pitch, though I found that the front section where the tent inner clips to the brow pole seemed excessively tight and stressed the fabric in some areas. (Manufacturer states that the tent has an "aggressive" brow pole, but there is no adjustment in this connection, meaning that even a few mm short in construction will make the connection much too tight). This may stretch/resolve after a few more pitches, otherwise I will need to modify the connection to relieve the tension slightly. So not an insurmountable problem, but would recommend pitching that part carefully at first.
The tent fits easily back into the storage bag, which is always a plus with tramping gear.
Overall a reasonable product that provides lightweight equipment while maintaining comfort.
