Amazing, light and packs very small
Great sleeping bag, perfect for tramping, only 700grams, packs really small. I spent a lot of time researching the best down sleeping bags and this was the lightest/warmest one I could find for under $750.
This is one of the lightest bags for its warmth rating on the market: at just 557 grams, the -3°C version is unbeatable. We’ve used technical know-how and quality materials to keep it warm and practical as well as super light: 3D, vertical V-baffles filled with 800-850 loft Hydrophobic Down; a full zip allows venting while the box foot prevents cold spots; and there’s a draft tube, three-quarter hood and internal chest drawcord.
The Nitrous is also versatile. It’s available in three warmth ratings and three sizes. Other features include super light, downproof by construction and breathable 10 denier Vapour Vent fabric and a zip protector on the YKK zip.

Temp Ratings
One Planet sleeping bags are rated using the international standard for sleeping bag performance, ISO 23537-1. (This is a revised version of European Standard EN 13537.) This means every sleeping bag has two ‘real world’ and one extreme rating. To determine what temperature might be most suitable for you see our technical pages.
Ethically sourced down
Our down is ethically sourced, harvested and cleaned before purchase, with both the down and our supplier passing independent International Down and Feather Laboratory (IDFL) audits relating to ethical traceability. This means that the white down and feathers we purchase are from animals that haven’t been live plucked or force-fed at any point during the supply chain.

Awesome sleeping bag, arrived fast in good order as advertised.
I used this on a three night hike in NZ and it was almost too warm for this time of the year. This gives me much reassurance that it will be warm on cooler evenings. It is very compact and light in my pack and is a cosy place to rest at night.
Great sleeping bag, comfy and cosy, lightweight & roomy. Used once so far - camping late March. Plenty warm enough.
First, I’d like to say a few words about the store. This is our second purchase from them, and once again we’re very happy with the service and the way they treat their customers. The delivery was incredibly fast — just one day from Wellington to Christchurch! That was a very pleasant surprise.
Now about the product itself. Unfortunately, we haven’t had the chance to test the sleeping bag in real outdoor conditions yet. We were looking for an ultralight option for extended hikes during the shoulder seasons and summer, with occasional nights in a tent. We chose this model with a comfort rating of -3°C.
At first glance, the sleeping bag appears to be a high-quality product. All the stitching is neat and even, and the materials look well made. Everything feels carefully and thoughtfully constructed. The weight matches the manufacturer’s specifications, which was very important to us. In the compression sack included, it packs down to roughly the size of a 1.5-litre drink bottle filled halfway — which is impressively compact.
After we’ve had the chance to test it properly in real hiking conditions, we’ll try to update this review with our experience.
