Saltwater Mountain Boots
Loving the boots, taken them out on a few trips locally so far just to get used to them.
Picked them up for a trip to the Tarauars very soon which should put them through their paces.

Very comfortable yet still rigid enough to give good support. Grip well. Kept my feet dry in snow and ice on the tops in the Tararuas. Really happy with them. I sized up a half size from normal as I have wide kiwi feet. Purchased some Salewa micro spikes which were a good pairing , lite to pack but worked very well with this boot on the ice.
By most standards today I'd be an old fogy. At 50 I bought me andy misses a pair of these. Now we're big walkers and fave them a good testing in Tekapo snow, to Queenstown tracks and a portion of the Kepler track this last week or so. They are most comfortable boots I have ever owned hands down! Absolutely love them! Yup most things are expensive today but honestly worth the investment. Bought a few new things from Dwights as replacement gear last couple of months, fast delivery and brilliant comms. So yes very happy with the boots and service 👍
Replaced my Lowa Z8 with these.
Excellent boot
Had these new boots out on a recent trip to the Kaimanawas and it made me think how boot design has changed since my first pair of John Bulls I got 45 years ago - these are definitely a lot lighter. Lots of foot and ankle support but with substantial more comfort around the Achilles which is a thing as you get older. They felt broken in after a couple of days casual wear. This is an interesting hybrid boot - part approach shoe with a hint of alpine boot - good on forest floor or rock face and the best thing is that they are quick to drain after river crossings.
