The Crispi Summit GTX is built for trekkers and backpackers who tackle NZ's serious terrain — multi-day routes, Great Walks with heavy packs, and backcountry travel through Fiordland and the Southern Alps. Italian design and construction at a level that matches NZ's demands.

A rugged mid-to-high cut profile provides the ankle support needed for loaded pack travel on varied terrain. Gore-Tex waterproofing handles NZ's notoriously changeable weather — from Fiordland downpours to South Island river crossings — without sacrificing breathability on the climbs.

  • Designed for trekking and backpacking on NZ's demanding terrain
  • Rugged Italian construction for multi-day use under load
  • Gore-Tex waterproof and breathable membrane
  • Mid-to-high cut for ankle support with a loaded pack
  • Durable build for NZ Great Walks and backcountry routes
  • Italian craftsmanship from Crispi

The Summit GTX sits in the reliable centre of the Crispi range — not the lightest, not the heaviest, but a genuinely versatile trekking boot that handles NZ's varied terrain with confidence. A solid choice for anyone covering serious ground on foot.

Perfect hunting/hiking boots

Brought 2022 wore straight out of the box into a hunting mission in the ruahines, perfect! No problems, comfortable, stable, quite and lightweight, ive done some epic traverses in these the last 4 years still going strong, best boot ive owned. The main point i always rave about is how safe i feel in these boots ive relied on their grip and stability in some prity hairy situations, haven't let me down yet!

Solid feel - dependable grip

Had to wait a couple of weeks to get a decent tramp in with these boots. Very happy with them. They feel bombproof with no worries about what you’re walking through. Had no issues with traction climbing or descending in smooth or loose rock, roots, or clay on what was a fine day, but a very wet track. The only issue was where wet topsoil had washed down on top of clay - the boot tread got clogged with loose topsoil and started to slip. Warm, dry and comfortable, though slightly wide in the toe for me - could feel the pressure on my toes downhill, but no lasting damage there. Great service from Dwights and they are great with after sale backup too. The Crispi NZ agent was also very helpful.

Comfortable out of the box

True to size. light weight and very comfortable straight out of the box.

I have taken them out on one hunt so far and found good ankle support on steep hill sides, and the grip of the tread made me confident in my step. I have not tested the waterproofness or speed of drying yet.

I bought these boots to take hunting in Aussie, chasing Tahr in the South Island, Multi-dray tramping in the Ruahines (sub-alpine and rivers) and hopefully hunting in Africa next year. My demands will be high, I hope they can handle it !

Just Brilliant!

I now own 2 sets of the Summit and 1 of the Titan, I love them. They are definitely worth the outlay. Excellent fit, comfortable, quality and well made. They are my go to.
