Near perfect
I've used this hat for nearly 2 months in Central Otago and Canterbury. It's lightweight, super easy to adjust, and accommodates a sweat band when needed.
The lightweight fabric doesn't make my head or neck feel hot and when it's windy it stays put. The brim hasn't blown back once and I've worn it when it's windy and gusting. Walking into the wind the loose back flap does flap and make a noise. I'm ok with that but it's something to be aware of.
The brim is wide and provides meaningful 360 degree sun protection. The hat is comfortable whether I have the chin strap loose or cinched.
I use mine walking and it it hasn't interfered with a small day pack. I haven't worn it tramping as I prefer a sun hoody and cap.
Yes, they cost a lot but it is well thought out and tested. It out performs any other sun hat I've owned - sun protection, comfort and user experience.
