Look, all I need to say is that it's lasted 15-20 years & has seen a month or two each year right by the beach. OK, I'll go on: it gets hit by gnarly west coast winds; attacked by salt spray & tonnes of UV light; this year (and other) it got pummelled by rain and dampness. We've finally had to put two patches on (UV damage mainly) but considering the abuse its received, It's done a bloody amazing job.
I came here because I need a second tent the same size but I reckon my current one has a few more years in it. (N. B. apart from the two rips, the rest of the tent is in great shape, like new but twenty years old.)
Photo hopefully shows how close to the beach it sits, survives and thrives.
