Salomon Mens SpeedCross 5 Wide

Awesome shoes . Finally had to replace my old ones 👍

They are great off track walking shoes, comfortable and with very good grip soles

I tried these instead of my usual Lowa hiking boot for summer and they are great. Fast drying for river crossing, very lightweight, fast lace system, no blisters.

Following other reviews I ordered a half size bigger online. They were tight at first but did stretch and are now very comfortable. Just did 3 days in them with a pack and 4hrs walking each day, cant say enough good things about them!

Absolutely fantastic shoes for the job:

- running the trails

- hike

- very light, grip is fantastic on all the grounds: forest, mud, gravel, rocks, ect.

However, you need to adjust to these as drop is about 10mm and it's my first shoes with high drop - on the first hike I found my ankles twisted too much as you step with the heel on uneven surface, and it's not flat - awkward ankle twist. Nothing major so far, but just be aware.

Another mad finding, these shoes stink as nothing else. I thought past reviewers do not look after the shoes and never wash their feet, but for-the-sake-of-aliens, no other of my shoes smell or stink... SpeedCross 5 is from another world, the stink is just against humanity!
